BUBBLES! BUBBLES! BUBBLES!

This graphic organizer would help me organize how I would teach certain GLCEs in my classroom. It helps me visually organize my thoughts, resources, and materials. I could use this to keep myself organized, and students could look at this to get an idea of what was covered in class. When I keep myself organized, my learners will benefit.

Matching for Math!!

I could use this game to help students practice finding equivalent fractions. They could go to the blog and play the game. After they finish the game, there is a place to enter the score. Using this, I could keep track of the score each student received, and maybe even hold a competition within the class to see who finishes this the quickest. This would provide a fun, entertaining way for students to practice math. It may not even seem like homework.

Spelling words!



This video would be used to introduce the spelling words of the week to the class. We could watch it in class, or I could have them watch it with their parents at home, and make a list of the spelling words and bring it in to me in class the next day. If I post it to my blog, it will make all of the words easily accessible to parents and students. It is a video which will peak their interests and make them more interested in learning spelling words because the words are presented in a creative way.

Animal Classification Chart




I could use this animal classification chart in the classroom for notes. We could fill it out in class listing the characteristics of the animals. Then, I could post it to my blog for parents and students to view and study. It will let the parents know what is happening in class, and students will be able to view what we covered in class.

Rubric

As you can see by the screen capture of my rubric, the imaginary assignment I created for my students was to create a poster with animals to explain their characteristics and classification. Rubrics are very beneficial because students are able to see exactly what a teacher expects from an assignment, but also allow room for creativity and originality. Rubistar is especially beneficial because it cuts down on the time a teacher needs to create a rubric. It already has the basic requirements, but allows the teacher to edit or make adjustments as needed. When I am a teacher, I would use rubistar because of its convenience and usefulness.
